After practicing as a critical care Registered Nurse for 10 years, Dr. Baker earned her DMD from University of Kentucky and her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from University of Connecticut. She also spent a year fellowship in Orthodontics at UConn, and served on faculty in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics for seven years. She then joined Dr. Walter Doyle in practice and teaching seminars.
Today, after 25 years in dentistry, Dr. Chris' approach to pediatric dentistry and orthodontics is based in prevention, with emphasis on orthodontic treatment procedures for the preschool and school-age child to improve the growth of the entire face. Her experience in practice management and her extensive knowledge of child behavior, parenting and child management are elements integrated into her practice and teaching. Dr. Baker's busy practice continues to provide state-of-the-art care to many children, and through Chris Baker Seminars, the outreach is wide.
