The American Orthodontic Society Foundation

Created in 1995, the American Orthodontic Society Foundation (AOSF) is an
independent, tax-deductible public charity whose members are diplomates of the AOS.
It is dedicated to the promotion of orthodontic education and service to patients in need.
Managed by an elected Board of Governors, some key AOSF activities include:

Free symposium - Dr. William E. Wyatt Sr. Distinguished Lecture Series
This free annual conference offers the latest in orthodontic techniques taught by
the finest clinicians lecturing today. Any professional with an interest in

Smile Builders
The AOSF works with industry partners to coordinate the charitable efforts of
dentists and dental suppliers. Dental companies and labs to donate their
materials and services to dental professionals who donate their time to treat the
disadvantaged in their community. A simple application process provides

Academic Scholarship
Expanding our scholarship program is one of the key goals of the AOSF. With
establishment of the Dr. Robert G. Gerety Scholarship for Outstanding
Performance at the University of Oklahoma, the Dr. Roger P. Rupp Scholarship
for Outstanding Performance at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and the
AOS Scholarship for Outstanding Performance at Tufts University in Boston, we
are assisting young men and women who have shown superior performance in
academic and clinical orthodontics at top dental schools. If you are interested in

Support the AOSF
Donating to the AOSF is an opportunity to:
- ensure continued high professional standards
- provide world-class quality orthodontic education and improved public health.
Donations can be made at any time through the Dallas Central Office.
Pledge cards are included in annual membership packets for convenience.
The AOSF is a tax-deductible public charity. (The exact tax consequences of a
particular gift will vary, so donors are encouraged to consult their own tax advisers.)
Annual recognition levels for industry and individual donations are:
- Sustaining ($500-$999)
- Achievement ($1,000-$2,999)
- President's Circle ($3,000 and over)
All contributions are recognized with a letter of appreciation from the Foundation
President. Contributions in excess of $500 will receive a "Partners" plaque
acknowledging their support.
