Why Interception Orthodontics?

The field of orthodontics is changing. Increasingly, younger patients are being treated with more success than ever before. Organizations like the American Orthodontic Society and the American Association of Orthodontists are advocating the value and importance of treating younger patients. Better diagnostic technology has led to more early treatment. Increased insurance coverage has played a role, too. Parents of younger children want orthodontic treatment for their children in transitional dentition. Learn to determine the child’s need. Learn what to say to the parents and how to answer their questions.  Learn how to treat that child well, and more easily than when they are older.

How you will save time & money

By learning a solid and confident knowledge of iinterception Orthodontics, you are able to provide quality life-lasting care to your patients. This occurs with a good understanding of the biologic basis of growth and development, tooth movement and functional; appliances, diagnosis and efficient clinical application. With this course YOU intelligently evaluate treatment options and determine what works best for you. Dr. Chris Baker’s iOrtho comprehensive course will give you predictable, consistent, reproducible treatment options that are not limited by manufacturer’s marketing.Your education will be “results-driven,” based on understandings and diagnosis which allow problem-focused treatment.

What you will learn

•  The developmental age for orthodontic treatment

that has the least chance of success and most risk

of TMJD and craniofacial pain in the future.

•  How to provide your child patients with healthy

    occlusions

•  Which orthodontic treatment could cause an

    occlusal disaster in adulthood.

•  To recognize deviations from normal

•  To harness and orthopedically redirect growth to

    normalize appearance and function early

•  To understand eruption of permanent teeth and

how to intervene, to reduce and even eliminate

eruption abnormalities which otherwise have both

    large and small sequelae

•  To understand the interaction of airway and its

symptoms to the growth and development of the

child patient, and how to transform lives with

    proper treatment options

•  To evaluate habits in the primary dentition patient

and to know treatment modalities and decision-

making that will eliminate the sequelae of habits.

•  To understand inter-relationships of crossbite,

narrow maxillae, expansion and airway and to know

how to choose and use various treatment

    modalities available.

•  The evaluation, timing and treatment planning

of frena abnormalities, and simple and effective

    frenectomy procedures.

•  Intervention for the skeletal Class III patient – when

and how to treat – in the primary and transitional

    dentitions.

•  What “Phase I and Done” is all about.

How you will learn

Seminar-style learning combines lecture, feedback, case presentations by students and instructors, typodont exercises to develop your wire-bending skills and to reinforce the logical mechanical sequences and effects of utility arch wires (UAW), of sectional wires, loops and distalizing springs and appliances.

What doctors are saying about their experience

Although each experiences a Dr. Baker Seminar in his/her own way, many have said that her courses have changed their lives, made them enjoy their practice again and increased their income. Often doctors tell us it is the most significant thing they have done since dental school. There is a consensus, too, about the deep friendships that are developed during intense hours of learning and sharing knowledge and patients. The knowledge and friendship lasts forever. Ask anyone who has completed a Dr. Chris Baker course.
