The American Orthodontic Society
Credentialing

Dear AOS Member:

On behalf of the American Orthodontic Society, Inc. Board of Directors and Board of Examiners, we are excited that you have requested this Case Presentation Handbook to assist you in applying for AOS Recognition Awards. AOS awards publicly recognize your desire to achieve excellence in orthodontics and enhance your career and professional community stature.

The AOS Board of Examiners encourages all members to pursue Recognition Awards. This handbook has been compiled to assist you in the application process. It informs you of the requirements of each award, gives you an outline of the case information to be included, how it should be presented and in what order it should be arranged. The information in this handbook is meant to be a helpful guide in the preparation of your cases.

The AOS does not endorse or promote any particular orthodontic technique for treatment. The case presented in this handbook was provided by AOS Diplomate and Board Examiner, Robert G. Gerety DDS and is used only as an example of what to include and how it is to be presented.

We are glad you are an involved AOS member that participates in the courses offered and has a commitment to seeking excellence in your practice of dentistry and orthodontics. If you require additional information about applying for an AOS Recognition Award, please contact the AOS office at 800-448-1601.

Respectfully,

The AOS Board of Examiners
