Improving Esthetics Through Better Occlusion - Given careful patient selection, the practitioner can properly align and position teeth in conjunction with esthetic goals. The philosophy, concept and techniques of the updated Andrews' Straight Wire Appliance utilized with the latest in auxiliary mechanics for obtaining optimum esthetic results will be presented. Full documentation of the diagnostic and mechano-therapy approach will be shown sequentially through completed treatment and retention.

Muscle Strength and its influence on Orthodontic Mechanics - One of the most important rules to keep in mind when performing orthodontic treatment is that the same brackets, bands and wires often produce different treatment responses in different patients. In this presentation, we will explore the reasons behind why this happens. Dr. Prittinen will also discuss the concept of angle of wire entry and how this can influence treatment response. Practical examples (including innovative bracket positioning techniques) showing how to manage potentially negative side effects that occur as a result of angle of entry issues will be discussed in great detail. Finally, orthodontic pearls to help resolve potentially difficult problems will be presented

In many patients, life-saving interventions are employed based on information found in their CBCT scans. Straight-line correction of Class II and Class III discrepancies before full-arch orthodontics are underway, results in most cases being treated from a Class 1 platform. In this fast-paced and informative presentation, Dr. McFarlane will share his experience with Class II and Clas III correction in the permanent and mixed dentitions before orthodontics-thus making complex cases much more straightforward, fast and fun! This is accomplished with devices that are elegant, streamlined, cost-effective, and require only minimal patient compliance. INCLUDED IN YOUR REGISTRATION

The Ultimate in Simulator Experiences. The simulation center houses seven life-size simulators - a Boeing 737 jetliner, F-16 and F-35 fighter jet simulator, four Formula 1 race car simulators and a 3D virtual reality Space Simulator. The two fighter jets are linked together so that a team of two can complete a mission together. The four Formula 1 race cars can also be linked together so that a group can race against each other. Although it sounds like more of a "guy thing," the staff says women often enjoy the simulators just as much as men. These are professional simulators, but you needn't be a pro to use them.
